Capstone Project

During my senior seminar class, I created a project focusing on New Urbanism and what it looks like today. For my research, I completed a literary review on the philosophy of New Urbanism. As a case study, I chose to examine the Union Point neighborhood, currently being built in Weymouth, Massachusetts. I examined the master plan, interviewed members of the community, and evaluated how the project is living up to its grand ambitions. Additionally, I provided recommendations to the developer and surrounding towns addressing the project's flaws and suggested ways for it to become a role model of New Urbanism.
